How much will it cost to receive services through Medicare?
If you have a mental health care plan from your GP the cost is $220 (rebate of $92.90 into your nominated bank account that has been linked with medicare). A lower gap payment may be considered in exceptional circumstances and if requested by your referring GP. 
How many sessions do I get through Medicare?
If you receive a mental health care plan from your GP you are entitled to a maximum of 10 Psychological sessions per year. You do not have to see the same Psychologist to access these sessions.
Will my private health fund cover Psychology?
Depending on the health fund you are with, it is advisable to check with your health fund provider to determine the cost that is refundable to you.
Can I receive assistance from Gearing Up Psychology by other referral sources?

Yes, if you are an NDIS recipient you can request that Gearing Up Psychology provide you with therapy as per your NDIS plan. If you are a Veteran; you can request (through Open Arms or DVA) to access Gearing Up Psychology for support. If you have been approved Psychological counselling under Work Cover (NSW) you will also be eligible.

Can I receive services without needing to get a Mental Health Care Plan (MHCP) from the GP? And how much will that cost?
Yes you can make a booking as a private client. The cost is $220 per individual session.

Does Gearing Up Psychology do couples counselling?

No. Gearing Up Psychology provides individual Psychological intervention only.

Is Gearing Up Psychology an NDIS registered provider?
Yes, Gearing Up Psychology is a registered NDIS provider of therapeutic supports (Psychology) and specialist behaviour support. 
Can Gearing Up Psychology provide Behaviour support plans for individuals with a disability?
